Modern medical communications for the contemporary clinician
PRESS RELEASE | London, UK and Salerno, Italy | 27 July 2022 – Healthware Group today announced the launch of a new division focused on medical communications and education: Healthware MedComms meets the always-on, audience-centric, evidence-driven demands of today’s modern clinical environment.
This is realized by partnering with clients to reimagine scientific exchange by creatively translating new and complex science into digestible, engaging learning experiences, which healthcare professionals can adopt to improve patient outcomes.
A new approach is necessitated by the growth in increasingly complex medicines and therapeutic approaches that have become available in recent years, causing a radical shift in the behavior and preferences of healthcare professionals, related to scientific updates and learning new information.
As innovation continues to transform the health and life science industry, healthcare professionals and patients increasingly demand more access to evidence-based scientific information. Therefore, it has never been more important to get Medical Affairs right. In response, medical teams are transitioning to a new strategic role to meet the needs of clinicians and remain relevant.
Francis Namouk, Managing Director of Healthware MedComms explains:
Medical Affairs is a critical strategic focus alongside R&D, Commercial and Market Access. With increased pressure on budgets and tighter timelines, our clients need to be able to deliver quick, responsive, and relevant materials to their stakeholders. Because of these pressures, they need a modern forward-thinking partner to help them deliver and transition accordingly – that’s where Healthware MedComms comes in.
This division will leverage Healthware’s experienced scientific team led by Elisabetta Ravot, PhD, Global Head of Science as well as its customer engagement, experience, technology, and data science teams.
Healthware brings over two decades of experience in the creation of scientific content for healthcare professionals and an even longer history of developing digitally focused solutions for pharmaceutical, medical device, and digital health companies.
Elisabetta Ravot, PhD, Global Head of Science at Healthware Group says:
Since the beginning, our goal at Healthware has always been to improve the lives of healthcare professionals and patients. Therefore, to help them keep pace with the ever-increasing amount of new data and information, we come together as Healthware MedComms with the ultimate goal of generating content that is relevant and engaging. Relevant in our vision means: based on up-to-date scientific evidence, useful to solve real problems in clinical practice, and delivered in formats and channels that fit their contemporary needs and preferences.
Roberto Ascione, CEO of Healthware Group says:
